The Roche Innovation Incubator, established by the healthcare solutions company Roche Latvia, announces two project calls - "Technical solution for big data processing in the field of oncology" and "Early diagnosis, monitoring and management of heart failure patients". The purpose of the Roche Innovation Incubator is to promote and support the development of new and innovative ideas, as well as research in specific areas of healthcare and the creation of products or services. The incubator works as a permanent platform for new ideas, within the framework of which, according to the announced calls, it is possible to receive support from Roche Latvija for the development of an innovative idea. If the idea is at a stage where it is necessary to continue its research and development, the recipient of the support can apply for practical and consultative help from Roche Latvija, for example, provision of office space, availability of equipment, specialist consultations and other similar support. According to the operating principles of the Innovation Incubator, the maximum period for the development of the details of the idea is 3 months from the moment of signing the cooperation agreement. After 3 months, the project evaluation commission evaluates what has been achieved and decides on future cooperation. If during the development stage of the idea it is proven that the idea can be turned into a product or service and financial or other support is needed to continue its development and/or launch it on the market, the term of the cooperation agreement may be extended, and Roche Latvija may conclude an agreement on providing funding for the further development of the idea for implementation.
